Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Development Officer

Nicholas Hooper was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Development Officer in 2024, with responsibility for corporate development and exploration. He joined Teck in September 2020 and has more than 25 years of experience in financing and M&A transactions in the mining sector, along with extensive knowledge across a wide range of commodities, jurisdictions and corporate strategies. 

He previously held the position of Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Exploration. Prior to joining Teck he worked for Rothschild & Co, where he was Managing Director, Investment Banking. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Western Ontario.
