Community Investment

The places where we work are also where we live. That is why we are committed to helping build healthy, vibrant communities. Teck’s Community Investment Program is a key pillar of our work in this area and our overall commitment to sustainability.

Through the Teck Community Investment Program, we contribute annually to non-profit organizations, institutions and initiatives that strengthen communities in the regions within which we operate. Our community investment is provided as funding, in-kind contributions or employee time.

Teck considers funding requests from registered charitable non-profit organizations, local and Indigenous communities, educational institutions and others across four focus areas: health, education, environment and community.

Our Community Investment Policy is guided by best practices from the International Finance Corporation, London Benchmarking Group and Imagine Canada.
