Roger Higgins

Senior Vice President, Copper

Roger Higgins joined Teck as Senior Vice President, Copper in June 2008. In this role he is responsible for the safety, production, costs, sustainability, strategy and growth of Teck’s Copper business.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Higgins worked with BHP Billiton Base Metals as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer based out of Australia from 2005 to 2007 and Vice President Project Development in Chile from 2002 to 2005. Mr. Higgins has worked in variety of settings including the public sector, tertiary education, and mining industry companies.

Mr. Higgins holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Queensland, a Masters in Science from the University of Aberdeen, a Ph.D from the University of NSW and attended the Stanford Executive Program.

He is currently a Director and Member of the Executive Committee of the International Copper Association.
