Robert G. Scott
Senior Vice President, Zinc
Rob Scott was appointed Senior Vice President, Zinc on March 1, 2012. He has over 25 years of progressive technical, operating, managerial, and business experience at open pit base metal/coal mines in Canada and Alaska.
Mr. Scott began his career as an engineer-in-training at Cominco’s Sullivan Mine in 1979. He has held numerous positions in the company progressing from mining engineer/production supervisor, to mine operations superintendent. He served as the Quintette mine manager from 1995 to 2003 and the Red Dog General Manager from 2003 to 2006. Other position held include Vice President, Base Metals from January 2006 to November 2006, Vice President, North America from November 2006 to August 2008 and most recently, Vice President, Gold from August 2008 to July 2009.
Mr. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining from Queen’s University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia.
He is currently a Member of the Association of Professional Engineers of British Columbia.
