Ian Kilgour

Senior Vice President, Coal

Ian Kilgour was appointed Senior Vice President, Coal of Teck in February 2011.

Mr. Kilgour has more than 30 years experience in the mining industry. Prior to joining Teck he held the role of President and CEO of Compania Minera Antamina from 2007 – 2010, after joining the company as Vice President, Operations in 2006. Some of his previous roles include General Manager of Business Improvement and Optimization of the BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) coal operations, and General Manager of the Goonyella Riverside coal mine.

Mr. Kilgour is a metallurgical engineer, holding a Bachelor of Applied Science (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, and a Master of Science in mineral process design from the Royal School of Mines, London. He is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, a Registered Manager of Works (Papua New Guinea) and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
